Commercial and Industrial Program Design and Implementation
Ecos has a long history of delivering commercial and industrial energy efficiency programs. We design and implement programs in the pulp & paper, food processing, retail, restaurant, agriculture and commercial multi-family sectors. We work with measures in lighting, HVAC, pumps, motors, compressed air, refrigeration and on-site generation, among others. We have the program design, program management and engineering experience to deliver our utility partners the savings they require, on time and on budget.
- Ecos and PG&E worked with a large California bottling company to implement an energy efficiency project, replacing their 300-hp air compressor with a more efficient 200-hp variable-speed compressor. Ecos also conducted training for all the plant’s employees on how they can bring energy efficiency into their everyday tasks. The bottler walked away with a $100,000 incentive check, energy savings for years to come, and a new understanding of how energy use affects their bottom line.
- Working though PG&E and the Ecos Air program, a California wastewater treatment plant upgraded their compressor/blower system and essentially halved the amount of energy used by their aeration system. This new system achieves the required pressure and flow more efficiently while reducing the need for additional cooling. The plant is saving more than 625,000 kWh and roughly $54,000 annually.
