Ecos Hosts Successful ISO 50001 Webinar

Energy leaders from around the globe have been hard at work to develop a new standard for energy management: ISO 50001. This standard is estimated to affect up to 60 percent of the world’s energy use, and it is slated for release in January 2011.

Representatives from Ecos’ Commercial and Industrial programs recently hosted a Webinar about our efforts in helping to develop the new standard. Attendance was strong, but if you missed it, the Webinar is still available to view by clicking here (note: Webinar begins at 04:45 time code).

Energy management concepts help utilities and corporations make their efficiency efforts more strategic and sustained, and help large, energy-intensive facilities use less to become more streamlined and profitable.

Ecos is playing an active role in the development of the ISO 500001 standard. Our team has attended international group meetings in Rio and London, as well as meetings with the smaller U.S. ISO contingent. The company is at the forefront of developing this important new standard that could have direct impacts on commercial, industrial, and utility groups across the nation.
