Executive Profiles
As CEO and a principal owner of Ecos, Lois oversees the strategic direction of the organization and works closely with Jon Thomsen (President) on key operational activities. Lois’ 20-plus-year career in the energy efficiency industry has been defined by the use of market-based solutions to achieve results for companies such as The Energy Trust of Oregon, Puget Sound Energy and PacifiCorp.
Lois is widely recognized for her high-level management, budgeting and oversight of large multiyear, million-dollar efficiency projects. She was selected as a finalist for the Portland Business Journal’s 2004 Woman Executive of the Year award, and in 2006 she represented Ecos on a trip of Portland-area business executives to the Global Cities Forum in Lyon, France. She recently finished volunteering in Nicaragua and plans to spend more time there in the coming years, lending assistance to small communities in their growth and development.
Lois serves on the Board of Ecos and has a Bachelor of Science in energy system and environmental design from The Evergreen State College, with course work toward her Masters of Public Administration.
